Job Summary:

Sharecare is looking for an experienced attorney to join its legal team.  The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare law transactions including diligence, schedules and credit documentation and would provide advice on entity formation, corporate governance matters equity compensation and strategies, and securities law compliance. This candidate will be a legal advisor and regulatory counsel to Sharecare management and staff regarding health care business transactions and contracting, including technology contracts, consulting agreements, procurement, home health agency, healthcare employment and related regulatory compliance, while performing a wide array of legal functions for a large healthcare technology company. This position will also serve as a subject matter expert, educational resource, and strategic adviser, to Sharecare business leaders and colleagues on all aspects of home health agencies and healthcare staffing. Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, licensing, and accreditation requirements is helpful. The successful candidate must also be able to think strategically and demonstrate sound and pragmatic judgement in a rapidly maturing healthcare technology environment. 

Essential Job Functions:

• Consult and advise business clients with regard to healthcare staffing business models and home health agency business functions and requirements including regulatory compliance, licensing, contracting, accreditation, certification, and healthcare employment.

• Develop company policy and position on legal issues

• Research, anticipate and guard company against legal risks

• Guide managers and ensure compliance with rules and regulations

• Structure, draft and review reports and other legal documents

• Represent company in legal proceedings (administrative boards, court trials etc.)

• Draft and administer a wide variety contracts – both customer and vendor

• Negotiate deals and attend company meetings

Qualifications:

• JD Degree required

• 4+ years proven background in healthcare law (contract law, home health agency law, healthcare employment law, Medicaid, Medicare, CMS standards, and healthcare transactions.)

• Proven comparable law firm, in-house, or regulatory experience

• Excellent negotiation and communications skills

• Administrative and managerial skills

• Analytical ability and strong attention to detail

• Computer skills

• Current license to practice law
