Supports the Program Director in the development and implementation of the communication plan established for the Center.
Responsible for typing, recording, and filing reports, correspondence, and documents essential to team function.
Maintains accurate inpatient, outpatient and physician data and prepares routine reports.
Schedules appointments for program staff for outpatient services.
Responsible for telephone inquiry handling, conversion and reporting.
Develops relationship with and acts as liaison to physician's office staff.
Facilitates interaction with Third Party Payers - provides information to them and assists physician/patients in their interactions as necessary.
Periodically assesses payer reimbursement verses collections for outpatient services.
Prepares and has available packets of materials for center promotion, and patient education and treatment information
Files and maintains medical records according to hospital Medical Record policy and procedure and in accordance with AMHC Quality Assurance.
Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
